Dark Horizons: The Story - Part 1

The year is 2390. The Romulan Empire is at it's peak and just finished a brutal war against the Tholians. There world now under Romulan rule. The Romulan warbird T'amor is patrolling the neutral zone when it comes across something interesting.

Commander Tamat: Anything to report?
Subcommander Srat: No commander
Lieutenant T'rok: Commander there's a starship on censors.
Tamat: Location?
T'rok: An asteroid field.
Tamat: Set a course.
Srat: Scanning for enemy vessel's
T'rok: There's bound to be some Klingons around here.
Srat: One ship. Tholian.
Tamat: What's there status?
Srat: A drift.
T'rok: Klingons?
Srat: No they were attacked by.. Romulan weapons.
Tamat: What's the other vessel.
Sublieutenant R'yval: Not in present records.
Srak: None of them?
R'yval: Negative.
T'rok: Arm a plasma torpedo and fire.
Tamat: No! Search the 2380s records.
R'yval: I have a match. It's been identified as something called.. Scimitar class.
Tamat: Just as I thought! You heard the Subcommander. Arm a plasma torpedo.

Aboard the Scimitar

Captain Pranzin: Power up and fire! All distrupters.
Lieutenant Ramzat: With pleasure.

Aboard the T'amor

Srat: Sir there's a power surge on the Scimitar.
R'yval: It's fireing. Shields down!
Tamat: That's not possible! These shields are designed to defend again Transphasic Torpedos.
T'rok: They must be using distrupters I've never seen before.
Srat: We're been hailed.
T'rok: On screen!
Captain Pranzin: Surrender Romulan. You are at our mercy.
Tamat: Never!
Captain Pranzin: i was hopeing you'd say that.
Viewer flicks to view of scimitar fireing forward distruptors.
Tamat: Hard to port. Fire what we can!
Srat: Torpedo banks down. Phasers.. Down!
T'rok: Commander??
Tamat: All hands...... Abandon ship!
At that momment a distruptor hits the bridge and the bridge crew are blown into space. Another few distruptors hit the ship before a final volley of torpedos destroy's the warbird. The Scimitar cloacks.

Aboard the USS Roovenstalk, a galaxy class starship patrolling the Federation side of the neutral zone they detect an explosion on the Romulan side of the neutral zone and set a course to intesept.
